To those of you concerned about where our bull Walter disappeared to, he is just fine! He is enjoying life with a new shelter, closer to his other buddies and even has a nice pond view. He's turning out to be not so mini after all. He's roughly 1200 lbs. as of July, and is putting away 100-150 lbs of grains, greens, watermelons, strawberries, papaya, pineapple (among other fruits and veggies) and of course hays and grasses daily. Walter was born in the Spring of 2007 and came to our farm in October of 2007.
The buckskin quarter horse seen on the Old Barrington Road side of the farm is one of our stallions, Willie. Willie turned 24 this year and is a former champion barrel racer.
Studly, our bay quarter horse stallion, who is Willie's father. Studly, also was a barrel racer, among other events, and he was 35 years old. He spent his turn out time with the goats. We laid him to rest on July 23, 2008
This is Winnie, our quarter horse mare, who is now 32 years old and has never been ridden a day in her life. She has adopted an extremely strong bond with our Blue Roan Pony gelding, Shadow. Shadow is now 9 years old and his coat will change from black to pure silver as the seasons do.
Just a few of our heritage breed chickens, The Dominiques.
